The fascinating world of aircrafts in the scenery of one of the oldest permanent airports in Europe.
The museum occupies part of the area and buildings of the former Rakowice-Czyżyny military airport, one of the oldest permanent airports in Europe. Airplanes, helicopters, gliders, aircraft engines, unique monuments of world aviation are presented here. The exhibition in the modern main building - a building reminiscent of a rotating airplane propeller - is introduced into the world of the former airport. Among the aircraft presented here was, among others. one of the first French planes from 1909 or one of the two surviving copies of the Polish RWD-13 from the 1930s. In the educational room we will find, among others flight seats, flight simulator and plane section. The museum organizes temporary exhibitions, workshops, events and aviation events at the former airport, including the very popular Aviation Picnic - two-day shows of historical aircraft and aerial acrobatics.
