One of the oldest parks in Krakow. It was designed in the first half of the 16th century by Italian architects at the behest of King Sigismund the Old. The park lasted for centuries, but many trees were destroyed during World War I. However, the deficiencies were quickly replenished and the park regained its extraordinary beauty and character.
Today the park has preserved linden trees and hornbeams, other trees have been destroyed. After all, Park Decjusza is famous for its beauty and exceptionally beautiful plants.
The park used to be the summer residence of the royal secretary - Justa Ludwik Decjusz.
Today it is a place of relaxation for tourists who are tired of visiting the city. the center of Krakow, as well as for residents who need relaxation in the bosom of nature.
A gate, a bridge and two bastions have been opened. Thanks to them, this place is well-kept and tempts with beauty and neatness, reminiscent of the times of the greatest splendor of the Krakow city.
