Zinar Castle

A park that was created in the place of the parking lot. The park is the result of the efforts of residents focused around the SOS Zabłocie initiative, supported by the Czas Wolny Foundation and the PODGORZE.PL Association. The park was co-created by the residents during a series of consultation workshops, the culmination of which was a competition for the concept of the park. As a result, a new green place has been created on the map of Krakow, where you can spend time playing sports, relaxing, playing with children, growing vegetables and flowers, or taking part in small cultural events. There is also a multifunctional pavilion with a food court and a toilet in the park.

In the area intended for the park, there used to be a Kraków-Wisła freight station, which was open until 2002. The industrial history of this place inspired the creation of railway-related elements in the park. Some of the marked paths have a surface with a steel rim imitating railway tracks. Historical accent was also placed on play equipment - in the park there are carriages on rails. There is also a nature zone with limited exploration in the park.
