Bednarskiego Park

Park

One of the most interesting parks in Krakow in terms of landscape and history. It is situated in a picturesque depression caused by limestone exploitation.

It is divided into two parts - the older neoclassical one and the newer modernist one. In the middle of the last century, there was a large ice rink here, decorated with colorful lanterns mounted above the surface.

Live performances by musicians created a unique atmosphere. Over a hundred species of trees grow in the park, assigned to the avenues or other elements of the park's composition. Circular avenue is marked by ash trees, Aleja Szienista is formed by rows of common maple trees, Mała Promenada is an avenue of white and black poplars.

Entering the park from Parkowa street, on the right we see a neo-baroque gardener's house. Asphalt paths in the park, but not only. There are many charming places here - the landscape of the park is diversified with limestone rocks. An additional attraction is the possibility of approaching the TVP Kraków tower.

The shady, sometimes wild park is a refuge for many species of birds. Thanks to detailed research, 60 species were identified in the northern part of Krzemionki, 41 of which nested.
